Frequently Asked Questions
How will you install the Biomist system?
Installation depends on the pests we’re targeting. For spiders, we focus on eaves and porches. For mosquitoes and sand fleas, it’s typically 6 feet up and 6 feet out - around landscaping and porch areas. The system is custom-designed for your situation, professionally installed to blend in aesthetically, and done carefully to avoid harming plants. We either visit the property or review photos to plan the setup and ensure it breaks the pests’ reproductive cycle effectively.
How long does it take to eliminate mosquitoes and spiders?
You’ll see results within 30 seconds of the first spray - mosquitoes and spiders begin reacting and dropping almost immediately once the system starts misting. After installation and testing, the system runs 3 to 5 times daily for 30 seconds, keeping pests consistently under control. As long as your reservoir is maintained with clean, water-based product, the system continues working effectively every day.
Will the BioMist system harm my bees 🐝 or butterflies 🦋?
No - we care deeply about pollinators! Bees and butterflies are vital to our ecosystem, which is why the BioMist system is designed to avoid harming them. It only mists at dusk, dawn, and midnight - when pollinators are not active - targeting pests like mosquitoes, spiders, and scorpions instead. We’re proud to be a “Bee Friendly, Bee Kind” system! 🐝🦋
Is the solution concentrate safe for my pets?
Yes, it's completely safe for pets. Some formulas even include lanolin, a coat conditioner used in the equine industry to keep coats shiny and healthy. These water-based, biodegradable products don’t harm pets or humans because our bodies can detox naturally, unlike insects and arachnids, which absorb it through their skin. I've personally used it on my hunting dogs to eliminate fleas and ticks - safely and effectively - while keeping their coats in great condition.
How are your solution concentrate non toxic and safe for my family?
Our water-based, biodegradable concentrate is completely non-toxic and safe for your family. It's dispensed at a highly diluted 109:1 water-to-solution ratio. The formula breaks down naturally within hours, especially under sunlight or moonlight, leaving behind only water. Factors like irrigation and weather can wash it away even faster, which is why our system mists at optimal times to maintain effectiveness without overexposure.
Which types of insects is the system effective against?
The BioMist system targets a wide range of pests, including six-legged insects like flies, fleas, ticks, roaches, wasps, and dirt daubers, as well as eight-legged arachnids like spiders and scorpions. Both insects and arachnids breathe through their skin, making them highly sensitive to our solution, while pets and humans remain safe thanks to our natural, water-based formula and our respiratory systems.
Can it get rid of ants?
Yes, the system effectively gets rid of ants. If ants are inside, we use a specialized product they carry back to the queen, eliminating the colony within 24 hours. No queen means no colony.
Is your system effective during and after heavy rainy days?
Yes, the system remains effective even after rain. Rain often stirs up mosquitoes and keeps spiders on their webs, making them more exposed to the mist. The mist creates a "flushing effect," drawing pests out of hiding and into direct contact with the solution - this includes roaches, flies, and insects hiding under leaves. After rain, it's a great time to use your BioMist app to run an extra mist if needed, especially if the rain occurs before or after a scheduled cycle.
How much does a Biomist system cost?
An effective, professionally installed Biomist system typically costs between $3,500–$4,500. Monthly service, including full indoor and outdoor pest control, ranges from $130–$150.
How does the system work for equestrian use?
In barns and equestrian facilities, BioMist helps control flies that spread bacteria by landing on feces, food, and water, and can also bite and harm horses. We install 2-4 nozzles per stall and along the main walkway to create a consistent misting barrier. While the system is highly effective, its success also depends on proper barn hygiene - regular cleaning and waste removal are key to keeping flies under control.
